Capture the Dark 2025

Hey friends!

I wanted to share that Capture the Dark 2025 nighttime photo contest is open for submissions through June 30.  I’m excited and honored to be part of the judging panel this year!

The contest is run by DarkSky International, which is a nonprofit focused on protecting the night from light pollution. The mission is close to my heart, and what I love about this contest is how it invites people to tell different kinds of stories about the night, from deep space and dark sky landscapes to, mobile photography, and the impact of artificial light.

It’s free to enter, open worldwide, and you can submit up to three images per category. Winners get published in Nightscape magazine and receive some great prizes from sponsors like PhotoPills, Lensbaby, and Peak Design.
