A Flame Beyond The Moon

$185.00

This image was created from a sequence of photographs taken during the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, my first experience of totality. After months of planning and a last-minute chase for clear skies, I photographed the eclipse from a snowy farm in northern Vermont.

It brings together several of the eclipse’s most fleeting phenomena, including Baily’s beads, the diamond ring, solar prominences, and the corona.

This image is an attempt to gather more of that unfolding, what no single frame can fully contain, into one photograph.
